LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 15, 1-991 PAGE 2 <br />Carlson indicated they will also need services of a <br />lobbyist/strategist. ReAPP has talked to Pat Forciea, who is willing <br />and interested in being part of our program at an expense not greater <br />than $12,000. Colle & McVoy had indicated to ReAPP they would make the <br />lobbyist/strategist as part of their contract. <br />M/S/P Dick Johnson/Williams - to select Colle & McVoy, Inc. as the <br />City's Public Relations Firm to provide public relations to the City <br />in the matter of the landfill; contingent on a successful contract <br />being negotiated. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />As Councilman Mottaz volunteered to work with the Public Relations <br />firm, the Council appointed Jess Mottaz as the Council liaison between <br />Lake Elmo and the Public Relations firm. <br />5. ANNUAL ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING (Continuation) <br />A. Cable Commission <br />Dave Garloff and Karen Wandmacher have advised the City that they <br />desire reappointment as Lake Elmo's representatives to the Cable <br />Commission. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Dave Johnson - to reappoint Dave Garloff and. Karen <br />Wand.macher as Lake Elmo's representatives to the Cable Commission. <br />(Motion carried 5-0). <br />These representatives will attend the February 5th Council meeting to <br />explain the function of the Cable Commission and to meet the City <br />Council. <br />B. Community Education Advisory Boards ISD 622 and 834 <br />Nancy Hansen has advised the City that she would like to continue as <br />the City Representative to the 834 Community Education Advisory Board,. <br />Rosemary Armstrong indicated she no longer has time to serve on the <br />622 Board. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Dick Johnson - to reappoint Nancy Hansen as Lake Elmo's <br />representative to the 834 Community Education Advisory Board and <br />instruct the staff to advertise in the Newsletter for volunteers to <br />the 622 Board. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />C. Council Representatives - City Functions <br />PERSONNEL COMMITTEE: Williams, Mottaz, Dick Johnson <br />BUDGET COMMITTEE: Mottaz, Hunt <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT: Williams, Dick Johnson, Hunt <br />Ex-officio on each committee: Mayor Johnson <br />The CIP Committe has a meeting on January 23rd, 9:00 a.m., with <br />Washington County to review the County's computerization plan. <br />
