PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br />The Parks Commission recommends that a separate Park Department be <br />instituted for the City of Lake Elmo. Further that the job of Tree <br />Inspector be added to the new parks department and further that the <br />parks department be physically located in the city owned vacant <br />building at 11194 Upper 33rd Street. The Parks Commission members <br />have offered to help locate furnishings for the new department: desk, <br />table, chairs. The City needs to purchase: one vehicle to pull <br />equipment, $1,000 for small tools, install a telephone. The Parks <br />Commission will hold their meetigs in the new facility. The City Hall <br />kitchen is really not adequate for meetings which fall on the same <br />night as a council or planning commission meeting. <br />M/S/P Lee/Simpson - to request a separate Parks & Recreation <br />Department which includes the recommendations stated above.
