W <br />b) All occupant or resident properties will be mandated to <br />participate in the recycling program and will be supplied <br />recycling containers, provided by the City for the <br />recyclable materials agreed upon by the City and the <br />Contractor. <br />c) Collection will be from the curbside. At a minimum, <br />collection must be for newspaper, glass containers, <br />aluminum and steel cans, tin cans, cardboard, certain <br />plastics as agreed upon by the City and Contractor, and <br />car batteries. If mutually agreed upon, other materials <br />can be added. This may include items such as agreed upon <br />by the City and the selected contractor. <br />d) The Proposal shall indicate that selected contractor will <br />deliver the recyclable materials to a recycling market <br />mutually agreed upon by the City and the Contractor. The .: <br />Contractor shall not mix other types of refuse or <br />inorganic materials with the recyclables or take any <br />action so as to make the recyclable material unacceptable <br />to the operators of the recycling center. <br />e) Contractor must provide monthly reports for all materials <br />collected. The required information includes original <br />truck scale tickets or market receipts, showing the name <br />of the contractor and the market, the date of delivery to <br />market, and the net weight and type of material. <br />Service Schedule <br />1. All collection service shall be conducted between the <br />hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., on Monday through <br />Friday, except when an emergency shall exist, at which <br />time the Contractor shall notify the City of such <br />emergency conditions. With City approval, the Contractor <br />may perform collection services on Saturday when a holiday <br />falls on a weekday. <br />2. Collections shall be done during Monday through Friday <br />(both inclusive) in accordance with a schedule of <br />pick-ups to be established by the Contractor and submitted <br />in writing to the City Administrator for prior approval. <br />The schedule shall include the areas in which pick-up will <br />be made each day of the week and how many vehicles will be <br />used in the area. Each dwelling unit shall have its <br />refuse collected a minimum of once a week. <br />
