3. <br />The City retains the option to maintain its existing <br />compost site during the term of this contract. If this <br />option is exercised, the City shall designate the days and <br />hours that said compost site shall be open at this time, <br />use of the compost site by City residents shall be at no <br />additional charge to residents, and maintenance of the <br />compost site facility will be the City's responsibility. <br />b) The Proposal shall indicate how collection of all compost <br />from residential properties at least once a week during <br />the months agreed to by the City and selected contractor <br />will occur. <br />c) All occupant or resident properties who wish to <br />participate in the yard waste collection program shall <br />place yard waste, Christmas trees, storm damage tree <br />limbs in biodegradable paper, bags or a can which is <br />identified as yard waste. <br />d) The Proposal shall indicate that the selected contractor <br />will deliver the yard waste materials to a Washington <br />County approved site, or a site mutually agreed upon by <br />the City and the selected Contractor. The Contractor <br />shall not mix other types of refuse or inorganic materials <br />with the yard waste or take any action so as to make the <br />yard waste material unacceptable to the operators of the <br />Washington County compost site. <br />e) In the event Washington County begins to charge a fee for <br />disposing yard waste materials at the County compost site, <br />the City shall endeavor to find an alternative site. <br />Should a mutually agreed to alternative site not be found, <br />the Contract shall be subject to renegotiation upon <br />written -request by either -the City or-Contractor-.- <br />f) In the event Washington County closes its compost site and <br />an alternative site cannot be mutually agreed to by the <br />City and the Contractor, the Contractor shall collect all <br />yard waste for disposal and the contract shall be subject <br />to renegotiation, upon written request by either the City <br />or Contractor. <br />Recycling Collection <br />a) Recycling collection shall take place on a designated <br />collection day for each dwelling unit, as determined by <br />the City. Recycling collection shall be the same day <br />as refuse collection. Daily service hours shall not <br />begin prior to 7:00 a.m. nor continue past 8:00 p.m. <br />
