DATE APPROVED: 4-16-91 DATE ISSUED: 5-3-91 LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 2, 1991 Mayor Johnson called the City Council meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Present: Mayor Johnson, Hunt, Dick Johnson, Mottaz, Williams, City Engineer Tom Prew, City Planner Mike Black, City Attorney Jerry Filla and Administrator Kueffner. MAYOR JOHNSON MADE THE FOLLOWING PROCLAMATION: WHEREAS: THE BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ANNUAL SALE OF BUDDY POPPIES BY THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS IS ELOQUENTLY REFLECTED IN THE DESIRE TO "HONOR THE DEAD BY HELPING THE LIVING" THEREFORE, I DAVID JOHNSON, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO DO HEREBY URGE THE CITIZENS OF THIS COMMUNITY TO RECOGNIZE THE MERITS OF THIS CAUSE BY CONTRIBUTING GENEROUSLY TO ITS SUPPORT THROUGH THE PURCHASE OF BUDDY POPPIES ON THE DAY SET ASIDE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF THESE SYMBOLS OF APPRECIATION OF THE SACRIFICES OF OUR HONORED DEAD. 1. AGENDA Add: 6I. Request by Robert Ziertman M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to approve the April 2, 1991 City Council agenda as amended. (Motion carried 5-0). 2. MINUTES: March 19, 1991 M/S/P Hunt/Dick Johnson - to approve the March 19, 1991 City Council minutes as amended. (Motion carried 5-0). 3. CLAIMS M/S/P Dick Johnson/Hunt - to approve the April 2, Claims #94602 thru #94647 as presented. (Motion carried 5-0). 4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES There were no public inquiries 5. REAPP REPORT ReAPP member, Tedi Carlson reported that Washington County has written ------- a letter of support for the recharge bill and drafted a resolution which they will adopt at their next Board meeting. The Inventory Sites Bill will be discussed further by the Board before a resolution is passed. The Met Council passed a resolution to eliminate regional parks and Dayton (Mississippi critical river area) from the inventory for landfill sites.
