DATE APPROVED: 4-16-91 <br />DATE ISSUED: 5-3-91 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />APRIL 2, 1991 <br />Mayor Johnson called the City Council meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. in <br />the City Council chambers. Present: Mayor Johnson, Hunt, Dick <br />Johnson, Mottaz, Williams, City Engineer Tom Prew, City Planner Mike <br />Black, City Attorney Jerry Filla and Administrator Kueffner. <br />MAYOR JOHNSON MADE THE FOLLOWING PROCLAMATION: <br />WHEREAS: THE BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ANNUAL SALE OF BUDDY POPPIES BY THE <br />VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS IS ELOQUENTLY REFLECTED IN THE DESIRE TO <br />"HONOR THE DEAD BY HELPING THE LIVING" THEREFORE, I DAVID JOHNSON, <br />MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO DO HEREBY URGE THE CITIZENS OF THIS <br />COMMUNITY TO RECOGNIZE THE MERITS OF THIS CAUSE BY CONTRIBUTING <br />GENEROUSLY TO ITS SUPPORT THROUGH THE PURCHASE OF BUDDY POPPIES ON THE <br />DAY SET ASIDE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF THESE SYMBOLS OF APPRECIATION OF <br />THE SACRIFICES OF OUR HONORED DEAD. <br />1. MINUTES: March 19, 1991 <br />M/S/P Hunt/Dick Johnson - to approve the March 19, 1991 City Council <br />minutes as amended. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P Dick Johnson/Hunt - to approve the April 2, Claims #94602 thru <br />#94647 as presented. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES <br />There were no public inquiries <br />5. REAPP REPORT <br />ReAPP member, Tedi Carlson reported that Washington County has written ------- <br />a letter of support for the recharge bill and drafted a resolution <br />which they will adopt at their next Board meeting. The Inventory Sites <br />Bill will be discussed further by the Board before a resolution is <br />passed. <br />The Met Council passed a resolution to eliminate regional parks and <br />Dayton (Mississippi critical river area) from the inventory for <br />landfill sites. <br />On March 26 a presentation was given to the Washington County .Board.. <br />Mary Kueffner gave the introduction, Pat Forciea gave a legislative <br />
