The people he talks to want to have large lots and based on the RE developments coming into the city, there seems to be a healthy market for such lots. B. Councilman Hunt -No report. C. Councilman Johnson Councilman Johnson gave an update on the Maintenance Advisory Committee which met and selected Jim Palecek as Chairman. At the next meeting, which date has not been set, the committee will tour all of the city facilites would like to discuss the purchase of the truck for the Parks Dept. D. Councilman Mottaz - Town Meeting Councilman Mottaz suggested establishing a quarterly town meeting in Lake Elmo. The purpose of the town meeting is to provide an open forum for the citizens of Lake Elmo to question City Council members, to offer suggestions, to register complaints, and in general engage in open discussion concerning the present and the future of Lake Elmo. The meeting will be held on the third 'Wednesday of the third month of each quarter of the year (subject to change within the third month to accommodate for serious conflicts). The meeting shall begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m. and will be held outside of City Hall and shall be attended by the City Council members, the City Administrator and the Code Enforcement Officer. The meeting will be called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the City Administrator who will then preside at the selection of a moderator. Thereafter, the moderator will have charge of the meeting. City council members and their family and City commission and city committee members and their families will not be eligible to serve as a moderator. The agenda shall be open and the format informal. The meetings shall be announced in advance as required by law. Announcements and advertisements may suggest topics for discussion. The first meeting will be on June 19, 1991. M/S/P Mottaz/Hunt - to start quarterly town meetings to be held the third Wednesday, third month of each quarter at 7:00 p.m. held outside of City Hall as defined in Councilman Mottaz's proposal. The first town meeting will be held June 19, 1991 at a location to be announced in advance as required by law. (Motion carried 5-0). E. Councilman Williams - Cost Control Board In view of the tax revenue problems we will be faced with, Councilman Williams would like to institute the Cost Control Board. The Council set up a workshop for Tuesday, May 28, 1991 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
