LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 21, 1991 PAGE 8 <br />D. Parks Commission request for repair of tennis courts <br />At the April 15, 1991 Parks Commission meeting, Mike Bouthilet <br />proposed resurfacing on the Lions Park tennis court. Lions Park <br />was resurfaced at least 10 years ago. <br />Surfacing consists of: <br />--clean court surface, <br />--patch & level "Bird Bath" areas to within industry standards, <br />--clean, treat & fill cracks, <br />--apply a filler coat, <br />--apply two texturing courses, <br />--apply a finish coat, <br />--court colors to be red & green with 2" white playing lines. <br />The recommendation of the Park Commission was to resurface the <br />courts. The money will come out of the Parks Capitol Improvement <br />Fund, current balance $39,000. <br />Four bids for the job were received: <br />Tennis West Ltd. $2,643 <br />Gopher State Sealcoat $2,987 <br />Sjostrom Inc. $3,089 <br />Recreational Resurfacers $3,200 <br />M/S/P Williams/Mottaz - to award the bid for resurfacing and work <br />specified on Council request sheet, to the low bidder, Tennis West <br />Ltd., in the amount of $2,643.00. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />E. Parks Commission request to purchase truck <br />M/S/P Hunt/Mottaz - to remand the request to purchase a truck for <br />the Parks Department to the Maintenance Advisory Committee for <br />their recommendation back to the Council in one month. (Motion <br />carried 4-1: Dick Johnson: The Council needs to make a decision on <br />this to proceed so the vehicle could be some use to the City. The <br />Committee agreed to meet next week so a recommendation could be <br />submitted at the June 4th Council meeting.) <br />F. Other <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Hunt - to adjourn the City Council meeting at 11:08 <br />p.m. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />------------- <br />Resolution No. 91-15 Vacating the walkway easement in <br />DeMontreville Highlands <br />Resolution No. 91-16 Granting Final Plat Approval of Arabian Hills <br />
