DATE APPROVED: 5-21-91 DATE ISSUED: 5-31-91 LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 7, 1991 Mayor Johnson called the City Council meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Present: Mayor Johnson, Hunt, Dick Johnson, Mottaz, Williams, City Attorney Jerry Filla, City Engineer Tom Prew and Administrator Kueffner. 1. AGENDA Delete: 9. Fire Department Annual Report, 10A. Economic & Development Committee, and 10E. Discussion on Cost Control Board M/S/P Dick Johnson/Hunt - to approve the May 7, 1991 City Council agenda as amended. (Motion carried 5-0). 2. MINUTES: April 16, 1991 M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to approve the April 16, 1991 City Council minutes as amended. (Motion carried 5-0). 3. CLAIMS M/S/P Williams/Dick Johnson - to approve the May 7, 1991 Claims #94704 thru #94806 as presented. (Motion carried 5-0). 4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES The City Council acknowledged a letter they received from Steven DeLapp, 8468 Lake Jane Trail, in Lake Elmo. 5. REAPP REPORT A. DPRA, Geraghty & Miller Contract. Adjustment The Council received a letter from DPRA requesting a contract extension and a rate increase for itself and their sub -contractor, Geraghty & Miller. Several of the Council members indicated they were not happy with the size of the rate increase of sub -contractor, Geraghty & Miller, and were not willing to approve any contract. with DPRA that incorporates that kind of change. The consensus of the Council on the amount was not to exceed twice the average rate increase approved for DPRA because it covered a two year period. M/S/P Williams/Dick Johnson - to approve amending the contract with DPRA, as recommended by ReAPP, to reflect the increases as of April 1, 1991 and to direct the City Administrator to negotiate terms thru DPRA for sub -contractor, Geraghty & Miller, amount not to exceed twice the average rate increase approved for DPRA; subject to Council approval. (Motion carried 5-0).
