MINUTES APPROVED: 6-18-91 <br />MINUTES ISSUED: 6-28-91 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTFS <br />JUNE 4, 1991 <br />Mayor Johnson called the city council meeting to order at 7:0 p.m. in <br />the City Council chambers. Present: Mayor Johnson, Hunt, Dick <br />Johnson, Mottaz, Williams, City Attorney Filla, City Engineer Prew and <br />Administrator Kueffner. <br />1. AGENDA <br />Table ReAPP Resolutions of Appreciation until the next Council <br />meeting, <br />Move 7D. Bachman Variance to 12G. <br />Add: RC. Amended contract for the <br />Simplifying Council Minutes, 12H. <br />S11-1 Watermain, 10B. Follow-up on <br />Met Council Breakfast, <br />M/S/P Willians/Hunt - to approve the June 6, 1991 City Council agenda <br />as amended. (Motion carried 5-01. <br />2. MINUTES: May 21, 1991 <br />M/S/P Hunt/Dick Johnson - to approve the May 21, 1991 City Council <br />minutes as amended.. (Motion carried. 5-0). <br />3. CLAI.MS <br />I1/S/P Dick Johnson/Hunt - to approve the June 6, 1991 clams #9d'956 <br />thru #94g92 as presented. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES <br />Gloria Knoblauch, 9191 31st St. N., asked what the status was on the <br />storm sewer project for the Old Villaqe area. The City Administrator <br />answered the staff was workina with the city engineer and the auditor <br />on a surface water plan and a city-wide storm water utility district. <br />5. REAPP REPORT <br />a. Resolutions of Appreciation will be handed out at the next <br />Council meeting. <br />Rita Conlin reported that John Rafferty, Met Council, stated <br />legislation goes into law the day after the Governor signs the bill. <br />As of right now, the Met Council sent down word to the Counties that <br />they are to immediately suspend the EIS Process and box up the <br />paperwork. Rafferty stated the Inter -County Co-ordination Board will <br />come up with a new siting process. This Board. consists of County <br />Commissioners and will be assisted. by a technical consultation firm <br />called Richardson and Rickter. Rafferty also stated he does not know <br />if the Board will take into consideration the Net Council's resolution <br />to drop parks as landfill sites. According to Judy Ar.ends, the County <br />is complying with the Met Council.'s wishes and are not expecte(2 to <br />take further action. <br />ReAPP met June 2nd and made the following recommendations to the City <br />
