LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 21, 1992 12 <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Dick Johnson - to direct the City Administrator <br />to send a letter to Deputy Jessie Kurtz thanking him for his <br />services and hope he gets better soon. (Motion carried 4- <br />0). <br />B. Parks Commission Applications <br />The Parks Commission reviewed the three applications and <br />felt all applicants were very well qualified. The <br />Commission based their recommendation on the date of the <br />first person that applied and Mr. Collette represents an <br />area we do not have representation on our Parks Commission. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Williams - to accept the Parks Commission's <br />recommendation and appoint Tony Collette, 978 Lake Elmo <br />Avenue N., as the Second Alternate to the Parks Commission <br />and that a letter be sent to the other applicants thanking <br />them for applying and noting these applications will be kept <br />on file to fill other parks commission vacancies. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />C. Heritage Preservation Appointments <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Mayor Johnson - to appoint Susan Johnson to the <br />Heritage Preservation Commission. (Motion carried 3-1: <br />Williams: It is in the best interest of the city to avoid <br />conflict of interest and not appoint City Council family <br />members to city commissions.) <br />M/S/P Williams/Mottaz - to appoint Gloria Knoblauch to the <br />Heritage Preservation Commission. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />D. Employee Evaluations <br />M/S/P Dick Johnson/Williams - to set April 29, 1992 at 7:00 <br />p.m. as a City Council Workshop to discuss employee <br />evaluations in a closed session and to discuss Storm Water <br />Improvements. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Williams - to adjourn the City Council meeting <br />at 12:00. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />-------------------- <br />Resolution No. 92-5, Approving the Issuance of a Charitable <br />Gambling License by the State of Minnesota to the Lake Elmo <br />Jaycees. <br />Resolution No. 92-6, Approving the Issuance of a Charitable <br />Gambling License by the State of Minnesota to the Lake Elmo <br />Post #5725 VFW <br />Resolution No. 92-7, Approving the Issuance of a Temporary <br />On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Guardian Angels <br />Church. <br />
