MINUTES APPROVED: 7-7-92 <br />MINUTES ISSUED: 7-17-92 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />JUNE 16, 1992 <br />Mayor Johnson called the city council meeting to order at <br />7:02 p.m. in the Council chambers. PRESENT: Mayor Johnson, <br />Dick Johnson, Mottaz, Williams, City Attorney Filla, City <br />Engineer Prew (arrived 8:35 p.m.), Building Official Jim <br />McNamara and.Administrative Kueffner. ABSENT: Councilman <br />Hunt. <br />1. AGENDA <br />ADD: 8. Update On Arabian Hills, 9. Update on Kunz Oil <br />M/S/P Williams/Dick Johnson - to approve the June 16, 1992 <br />City Council agenda as amended. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />2, MINUTES: June 2, 1992 <br />M/S/P Williams/Mottaz - to approve the June 2, 1992 City <br />Council minutes as amended, (Motion carried 4-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />Councilman Johnson asked about the repair charges (Claim <br />#670 Mac Queen Equip $419.47 and Claim #671 Zarnoth Brush <br />Works $87.07) for the newly purchased Elgin Sweeper.. He had <br />the understanding that this sweeper we purchased from Ramsey <br />County was in "tip-top" shape and with the sweeper we <br />received a complete 136t of extra brooms. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Williams - to request Dan Olinger to come to <br />the early portion of the next council meeting to explain <br />claim #670 from MacQueen Equip and #671 from Zarnoth Brush <br />Works. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />In regard to the Mayor's question to Attorney Filla about <br />the telephone conference with Mr. Herreid on encroachment of <br />34th Street, Filla explained if there is an open file he <br />will bill it to that file. If there is no active file, 'he <br />will put this charge into the Administrators part of the <br />bill. <br />Mayor Johnson indicated when a resident who on their own <br />behalf and to their own benefit make inquiries of our city <br />attorney, we should make it a policy of the city to bill <br />those costs back to the resident. <br />Councilman Williams agreed with the Mayor and felt we should <br />try to recover these costs whenever possible. <br />
