LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 20, 1992 6 <br />8. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: <br />A. Cottage Grove Ravine Water Management Resolution <br />petitioning the CGRW to dissolve the Joint Powers <br />Agreement <br />M/S/P Dick Johnson/Hunt - to adopt Resolution No. 92-23, as <br />presented, A Resolution Petitioning the Board of the Cottage <br />Grove Ravine Watershed to Dissolve the Joint Powers <br />Agreement and direct the staff to contact the other cities <br />in the CGRW to determine how to get a joint petition to <br />establish a watershed district. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Mayor Johnson asked that the staff prepare a <br />Proclamation for Child Awareness Month by the Lake Elmo <br />Jaycees. <br />Councilman Johnson brought up a resident concern on the <br />wear and tear on Jamaca Avenue from the heavily loaded <br />Shaefer gravel trucks. A background review on Shaefer <br />Mining CUP is being done and the staff will report back to <br />the council. <br />A Real Estate agent has stated that some of Derrick <br />lots have perked and these lots have "For Sale" signs on <br />them. According to our city regulations, the Derrick lots <br />are not buildable and a building permit cannot be obtained. <br />Councilman Hunt received notification that his cable TV <br />rates are going up and in some cases as much as 200. He <br />suggested that a cable representative come in and give the <br />council an update as to what is going on. <br />Councilman Williams submitted a resolution for council <br />review at the October 6th council meeting. <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to adopt Resolution No. 92-22, A <br />Resolution relating to a policy if any city employee is <br />ordered to perform a task by an individual council member <br />not acting at the direction of the council as a whole, that <br />city employee should direct the council member to direct <br />his/her request to the City Administrator. (Motion carried <br />5-0). <br />10. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: None <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Hunt - to adjourn the council meeting at 10:15 <br />p.m. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />
