LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 19, 1993 10 <br />that they be as organized as possible and designate people <br />responsible for the group's position. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Conlin - to instruct Attorney Jerry Filla to <br />meet with Tom Prentice and the key people of the Tri-Lakes <br />Assoc. to formulate what action is needed and cost estimate <br />for such action and bring this back to the city council in <br />two weeks or hold an emergency meeting if needed. (Motion <br />carried 5-0). <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: None <br />10. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Mayor John: <br />Mayor John reported that he attended the pre -Oakdale City <br />Council meeting called by Pam Neary on January 12th. As an <br />observer he met with the Mayor and other councilmembers of <br />Oakdale and indicated he wanted to understand their concerns <br />and issues so that the two cities could appreciate each <br />others viewpoint. <br />On Thursday, January 14, he attended the Maintenance <br />Advisory Committee meeting and felt even though the members <br />are all concerned citizens wishing to do a good job, the <br />mission statement should be reviewed so that <br />misunderstanding on responsibilities can be minimized. <br />On Saturday, January 16th, he attended the opening <br />ceremonies program for the Stillwater Sesquicentennial. <br />As part of his responsibility for Highway 36 Study <br />Committee, he took the photographs of Hwy 36 and supplied <br />these prints to MnDOT and copies of the prints were <br />submitted to the Administrator. <br />Council member Conlin: <br />Council member Conlin stated she went to her first Cable <br />Commission meeting on Thursday where a management agreement <br />was approved, but still needs approval by FCC. Government <br />access would be coming out of the Oakdale City Hall <br />facility. Community access can still use the facility if <br />the schedule allows. <br />11. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Lillie Publications Letter <br />The City received a letter from Lillie Publications <br />requesting reconsideration of Lillie as designation of our <br />legal newspaper. Administrator Kueffner will respond that <br />they were not the low bidder. <br />
