LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 2, 1993 4 <br />The Council asked that the staff contact the County to find <br />out what sort of signs are available and also the <br />possibility to tap the financial resource in terms of the <br />North Star Club to get some support in getting these signs <br />in position. <br />E. Planning Commission Appointments <br />The City received the following applications for the <br />Planning Commission: Roger Columbo, Vicki Horton, Todd <br />Mathisen, Marcus Gernes, Margaret Carlson. The council <br />interviewed the applicants in attendance. <br />The Council voted by paper ballots for the following <br />Planning Commission members: <br />Full Voting Member: Vicki Horton, 9060 Demontreville Cir, <br />First Alternate: Margaret Carlson, 8735 27th St, N. <br />Second Alternate: Marcus Gernes, 10950 3rd St. Place N. <br />M/S/P Johnston/Mottaz - to notify Rob Enes that if he <br />doesn't respond by the next council meeting on whether he <br />desires to continue on the planning commission, his reasons <br />for missing so many meetings and whether or not his <br />situation will change, lie will be asked to leave the <br />Planning Commission. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />F. Parks Commission Appointments <br />The City interviewed the following applicants for the Parks <br />Commission: Steve Peterson and Kevin Heichel. <br />The Council voted by paper ballots for Steve Peterson, 3308 <br />Kraft Circle, as Second Alternate on the Parks Commission. <br />G. Cable Commission Appointment <br />M/S/P Conlin/Mottaz - to appoint Steve Foster, 9409 Jane <br />Road N., as the alternate to cable commissioner Karen <br />Wandmacher and appoint Dick Johnson as the alternate for <br />cable commissioner member Rita Conlin. (Motion carried 5- <br />0). <br />H. Heritage Preservation Commission <br />The Council received an application from Dave Johnson, 11291 <br />30th Street, for the HPC. Since there are two vacancies the <br />Council requested they be advertised and at the March 2nd <br />meeting the Council will make the appointments. The Council <br />asked that Mr. Johnson be notified and thanked for his <br />application. <br />
