MINUTES APPROVED: 5-18-93 LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 4, 1993 6:30 p.m. BOARD OF REVIEW (Continuation) Mayor John reconvene the Board of Review at 6:30 p.m. PRESENT: John, Conlin (arrived 6:55 p.m.), Johnson, Johnston and Assessor Frank Langer. LaVerne Downs, 3759 Jamaca Avenue N., asked consideration of reduction for her property and her mother's property because it is near the landfill. The Council recommended the following: Reduction of $2,000 to land for Laverne Downs, 3759 Jamaca, Reduction of $8,000 to land for Jeff Downs, 3793 Jamaca and NO reduction for Lydia Richert, 3870 Jamaca. The Council discussed the disrepair of property on 37th Street which two residents (Case #48, #52) complained about and asked for reduction to their property value. Jim McNamara reported information is being sent to the City Attorney to start a civil suit. Washington County Health Dept. has been contacted and will issue citations. M/S/C Johnson/Johnston - to accept the Assessor's recommendation as to cases presented to the Board of Review as reviewed, amended and recommended (See Exhibit A). (Motion carried 4-0). M/S/C Johnston/Johnson - to close-out the Lake Elmo Board of Review at 7:12 p.m. (Motion carried 4-0). Mayor John called the City Council meeting to order at 7:12 p.m. in the Council chambers. PRESENT: John, Mottaz, Conlin, Johnston, Johnson, City Engineer Bohrer, City Attorney Filla and Administrator Kueffner. 1. AGENDA ADD: 7C. Discuss proposed traffic signal on Hwy 36 and Manning Avenue, 10C. Status of Cimarron Storm Shelter Construction M/S/C Conlin/Johnston - to approve the May 4, 1993 City Council agenda as amended. (Motion carried 4-0). 2. MINUTES: April 20, 1993 M/S/C Johnson/Conlin - to approve the April 20, 1993 City Council minutes as amended. (Motion carried 4-0).
