III14UTES APPROVED: 9-21-93 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />SEPTEMBER 7, 1993 <br />Mayor John called the city council meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. in the city council <br />chambers. PRESENT: Mottaz, Conlin, John, Johnston, Johnson, City Engineer <br />Bohrer, Attorney John Miller, Maintenance Foreman Olinger and Administrator <br />Kueffner. <br />1. AGENDA <br />Add: 4B. Clarification request from Sheriff's Dept., 11 C. Resolution for Tax Forfeiture <br />M/S/C Johnson/Johnston - to approve the September 7, 1993 City Council agenda as <br />amended. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: August 10, 1993 <br />M/S/C Johnston/Mottaz - to approve the August 10, 1993 City Council Minutes as <br />amended. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />MINUTES: August 17, 1993 <br />M/S/C Johnson/Johnston - to approve the August 17, 1993 city council minutes as <br />amended. (Motion carried 4-0-1:Conlin). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/C Conlin/John -to approve the September 7, 1993 claims #1904 through #1944; <br />conditioned upon Claim #1912 shows the following breakdown:HP Laserjet IV Printer <br />$1,350.00, installation $95.00, and tax $87.75. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES <br />Ray Boche, 8801 37th St. N., asked if the city engineer could look at his drainage <br />problem because the water from the land west and northwest drains onto his property <br />and there's standing water over his septic system and backing into his house. The City <br />Engineer was directed to review this drainage problem. <br />Dave Johnson questioned the council about how an unknown Senate File number <br />could appear in the minutes of a meeting. Mayor John defended the council's actions <br />and questioned why the matter was brought up when it had no significance on the <br />actual action of the council. <br />
