LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 25, 1994 <br />8. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. MPCA - State Disposal Permit for 201 System <br />Larry Bohrer reported that our state disposal system permit which covers our <br />201 system is now being reissued. He has reviewed a draft of the new permit <br />and there are some areas of concern he would like to discuss with the MPCA <br />staff. Concerns are stated in Bohrer's letter to the council dated January 12, <br />1994. Bohrer will keep the council informed on these results of the meetings <br />with MPCA. <br />9. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: No Report <br />10. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Mayor John reported the following: <br />--The survey of the Olson Lakes Estates Pond has been completed and the <br />results will probably be available at the next VBWD meeting. <br />--Last Thursday he and Councilman Mottaz attended the Mn/DOT meeting on <br />plans for Highway 36 and gave an update of the meeting. John suggested a <br />working group be established between Lake Elmo, Grant Township and Pine <br />Springs to develop a working system . The Planning Commission, City Engineer <br />and City Planner should become involved and review possible routes. <br />M/S/C Mottaz/Johnson - at the next council meeting bring material available on <br />Highway 36 reconstruction to the council for. discussion. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />--He was disappointed that the members of the staff were not in attendance at <br />the Volunteer Recognition Party held on January 21, 1994. Whenever possible <br />and when able, he invites all members of the city staff to join him in recognizing <br />the volunteers of Lake Elmo in 1994. <br />--The city has been approached by the Lake Elmo Business Assoc. to consider <br />affiliation with the Stillwater Area Economic Development Corporation (SAEDC). <br />M/S/C Johnson/ John - to invite Lake Elmo Business Assoc. to send a member <br />to the next council meeting to address the benefits of such an affiliation with <br />SAEDC. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />Council member Johnson indicated that the MAC decided to meet on a <br />quarterly basis to develop a better CIP and would not require review of the <br />claims over $200 any longer. <br />
