MINUTES APPROVED: 3-3-94 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />FEBRUARY 15, 1994 <br />Mayor John called the city council meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the city <br />council chambers. PRESENT: Mottaz, Conlin, John, Johnston, Johnson, City <br />Engineer Bohrer, City Planner Schwanke, City Attorney Filla and Administrator <br />Kueffner. <br />1. AGENDA <br />Add: 4B. Update by Carol Monette, Community Ed. Rep #622, 6D. Lake Elmo <br />Elementary School, 10C. Stillwater Chamber of Commerce <br />M/S/C Conlin/Johnson - to approve the February 15, 1994 city council agenda as <br />amended. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: February 1, 1994 <br />M/S/C Johnson/Johnston - to approve the February 1, 1994 city council minutes <br />as amended. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/C Conlin/Johnston - to approve the February 15, 1994 Claims #2387 <br />through #2425 as presented. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL: <br />A. SAEDC (Stillwater Area Economic Development Committee) <br />Jim Kellison, Vice Pres. of SAEDC explained their function is to help encourage <br />industrial/commercial growth in the communities of Lake Elmo, Grant Township, <br />Stillwater Township, Stillwater, Bayport and Oak Park Heights. Don Broeman, <br />Pres. of SAEDC, explained the benefits for a city with affiliation with SAEDC. <br />Information on their work plan will be sent to the council, and Mr. Kellison will <br />keep in contact with the city. <br />B. Stillwater Snowmobile Club <br />Bill David, Snowlord Snowmobile Club, indicated he thought the Lake Elmo <br />snowmobile ordinance is difficult to understand and would be willing to submit <br />changes to update the ordinance. Bill David and Nora Galmeyer will contact the <br />city administrator to discuss ordinance changes, expanded signage, and <br />resolutions of problems, <br />
