LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 3, 1994
B. Request from School District 834
Phi Fisher, School District #834, asked if the city would consider allowing them to
extend city hall's parking lot as far west as possible to resolve a parking problem
at the Lake Elmo Elementary School. They have looked at various ways of
solving this problem, They are willing to pay for improvement, engineering costs,
maintenance fee, and would build a bridge across drainage easement and path
to school from the parking lot. This would benefit the city when the council
conducts public hearings and additional parking is required.
M/S/C Mottaz/John - to direct the city engineer at a cost not to exceed $200 to
prepare a cost estimate to extend the parking lot and determine how many
parking spaces can be gained and submit this information to the School District
to see if they want to proceed.
