Lake Elmo City Council Minutes July 5, 1994 Page 7 <br />M/No-Second Mottaz/No-Second - to not adopt Resolution 94-19 as it looks self-serving <br />because it could benefit Lake Elmo also, and also feels this is a logical sequence of events to <br />carry this issue to a definite and final conclusion - that is to have the Supreme Court act on it. <br />(Motion died for lack of a Second.) <br />M/SIP Johnson/John - to adopt Resolution 94-19 A Resolution directing the LMCIT to comply <br />with the Court of Appeals decision regarding Afton City Officials. (Motion passed 3-1, against: <br />Mottaz - for reasons stated in previous motion.) <br />C. Stillwater Area Chamber of Commerce invitation to join. <br />Cost for membership is $500.00 per year, and there is money in the budget for this. <br />M/S/P MottazlJohn - to instruct the City Administrator to obtain a membership with the Stillwater <br />Area Chamber for the City of Lake Elmo. (Motion passed 4-0.) <br />IWiil NAZI <br />Administrator Kueffner stated she got .75 more per household (2000 households) for recycling, <br />which will be approximately $1500.00 total. <br />B. Lenore Mottaz asked if the City's legal newspaper, the Stillwater Gazette, notifies the City <br />if it will not have a reporter present at.the Council meeting? Administrator Kueffner stated the <br />,City mails a packet to the Gazette reporter, and the reporter usually comes to the City Office the <br />next day, after a meeting, to view the video tape of the meeting if he or she is unable to be <br />present. <br />C. Barb Walsh, Hill Tr., requested the City contact DNR and request they post hours of the <br />public boat launches so that the deputies can enforce the hours, due to partying, and noise. <br />The council requested this issue be brought up at the Water Surface Ordinance public hearing, <br />on July 19, 1994, because if there are specific hours they should be in the Ordinance. <br />M/S/P MottazlJohn - to adjourn the meeting at 9:17 p.m. (Motion passed 4-0.) <br />----------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Respectfully submitted - Kathy Weeks, Recording Secretary <br />Resolution No. 94-19 directing the LMCIT to comply with the Court of Appeals decision regarding <br />Afton City Officials. <br />Resolution No. 94-20 relating to a Joint Powers Consortium Agreement allowing Wash.
