MINUTES APPROVED: 10-4-94 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />AUGUST 16, 1994 <br />6:00 P.M. BUDGET WORKSHOP (Maintenance & Parks Department) <br />The Council called a budget workshop for Tuesday, August 23, 1994 at 6:00 p.m <br />Mayor John called the council meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. in the council chambers <br />PRESENT: Mottaz, Conlin, John, Johnston, Johnson, City Engineer Bohrer, City <br />Attorney Filla and Administrator Kueffner. <br />I.AGENDA <br />Add: 4B. Road Signs, 4C. Vacancy on VBWD, 6H. PZ request <br />M/S/P Johnston/Johnson - to approve the August 16,1994 city council agenda as <br />amended. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: August 2, 1994 <br />M/S/P Conlin/John - to approve the August 2, 1994 city council minutes as amended. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />3. CLAIMS: <br />M/S/P Conlin/John - to approve the August 16, 1994 claims #2933 through #2965 as <br />presented. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL: <br />A. Paint-a-thon at Cimarron Park <br />Mayor John announced there will be a Cimarron paint-a-thon on August 20 & 21, 1994, <br />starting at 8:00 a.m. If you can donate materials such as brushes, rollers and yourself <br />for this event, please contact Dick & Renee Pothen at 436-8088. <br />B. Road Signs <br />Mayor John reported the stop signs were removed sometime August 25th off the <br />intersection of Jamaca Avenue and Jane Road N. The signs are being replaced at a <br />cost to the city and taxpayers at approximately $250. Removal of signs violates <br />neighborhood safety and is a misdemeanor. The signs have since been found <br />concealed in the brush. <br />
