LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 2, 1994 <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Johnson - to send a letter to Bill Eder recognizing 30 years of Volunteer <br />service as a Lake Elmo firefighter and thanking him on behalf of the City for providing <br />fire protection and rescue services to the citizens of Lake Elmo. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />Flush Water Hydrants which are located at various points in the city are not fire <br />hydrants. They are only used to flush out the domestic water systems at times of <br />maintenance. They do not have the water supply capacity for fire fighting use and <br />should not be indicated as such in home insurance application forms. <br />On August 3 at 7 p.m., he will attend a planning discussion on the 1-94 Corridor at the <br />Fortis Insurance Bldg. and will report back on August 16, 1994. This is at the invitation <br />of Senators Laidig and Price, Representatives Neary and Perlt. Other municipalities <br />have also been invited to develop a coordinated vision of the corridor. <br />Council member Conlin asked Administrator Kueffner for an update on the cable <br />commission meetings and what progress she's had on contacting Adrian Herbst, Cable <br />Commission attorney.. Kueffner responded she was not able to attend those meetings, <br />but plans on attending the next meeting on August 24, 1994 and has not contacted <br />Attorney Herbst. <br />Councilman Mottaz asked if the city administrator could give a refresher course in form <br />of a memo on the sanitary sewer options for 1-94. <br />10. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Proposed Ordinances relating to Curfew, Noise, Loitering - Tabled <br />Councilman Mottaz asked if the city is taking into consideration the Metro wide program <br />the cites are trying to establish a uniform curfew code. <br />B. Design Team <br />M/S/P Johnston/John - to approach the Minnesota Design Team as soon as we have <br />assembled adequate local support to make an application and set a goal for the <br />January 15 deadline for the Fall visit. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />M/S/P Conlin/Johnston - to adjourn the council meeting at 9:26 p.m. (Motion passed 5- <br />0). <br />Respectfully submitted by Sharon Lumby, Deputy City Clerk <br />
