MINUTES APPROVED: August 1, 1995 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />JULY 18, 1995 <br />6:00 p.m. Finance Department:Discussion with Auditors and Finance Director on the 1994 Annual <br />Financial Report and Management Report and Recommendations <br />Mayor John called the council meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. in the council chambers. PRESENT: Hunt, <br />Conlin, John, Johnston, DeLapp, City Planner Terwedo, City Engineer Bohrer, City Attorney Filla and <br />Administrator Kueffner. <br />I.AGENDA <br />ADD: Water Levels on Lake Elmo, Lake Jane, DeMontreville and Olson, EXECUTIVE SESSION:Status <br />of Hammes Sand & Gravel Lawsuit; DELETE: 4C. postponed to August 1st council meeting <br />M/S/P Johnston/Hunt - to approve the July 18, 1995 city council agenda as amended. (Motion passed 5- <br />0). <br />2. MINUTES: June 20, 1996 <br />M/S/P Conlin/Johnston - to approve the June 20, 1995 City Council minutes as amended. (Motion <br />passed 5-0). <br />3. CONSENT AGENDA: <br />A. Claims <br />M/S/P Johnston/Conlin - to approve the July 18, 1995 claims #3836 through #3935 as presented. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />B. Resignation of Dorothy Sherburne from Heritage Preservation Commission <br />M/S/P Johnston/Conlin - to accept the resignation of Dorothy Sherburne from the Heritage Preservation <br />Commission and direct the staff to write Mrs. Sherburne a letter of appreciation. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />C. Letter of interest for appointment to Heritage Preservation Commission <br />M/S/P Johnston/Conlin - to acknowledge the letter of interest from Debbie Krueger for appointment to the <br />Heritage Preservation Commission and to direct the staff to write to Mrs. Krueger and advise her that she <br />will be notified when the Commission is reactivated. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />D. Resignation of Susan Koch from Planning Commission <br />M/S/P Johnston/Conlin - to accept the resignation of Susan Koch from the Planning Commission and <br />direct the staff to write Ms. Koch a letter of appreciation. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />E. Water Leak in Old Village <br />David Holm, Water Leak Locators, Platteville WI, has provided a list of references and an estimate for <br />service of $1,000 or $500 if he is unable to locate the leak. Mr. Holm found the leak on Tuesday at the <br />west end of Lake Elmo Oil. The maintenance dept. shut that water off over night to verify this was the <br />leak and the water use readings the next day indicate this was the right area. The maintenance crew <br />repaired the leak on Wednesday night. <br />M/S/P Johnston/Conlin - to approve up to $1,000 as quoted by Water Leak Locators, 166 Mine RD, P.O. <br />Box 409, Platteville, WI, to find the water main leak in the Old Village. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />
