APPROVED MINUTES: August 15, 1995 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />August 1, 1995 <br />Mayor John called the meeting to order at 7:04p.m. in the Council Chambers of Lake Elmo City <br />Hall. Present: John, Johnston, Hunt, Del-app. Absent: Conlin. Also present: City Planner Ann <br />Pung-Terwedo, City Administrator Kueffner, City Engineer Larry Bohrer, City Attorney Jerry Filla. <br />1. AGENDA <br />ADD: Discussion of VBWD public hearing re: Olson Lake Estates Pond Outlet Project - Wyn <br />John; Discussion of Cluster Concept re: Direction - City Planner Terwedo; Met. Council Boundary <br />Group Meeting Report - Councilman DeLapp; Discussion of Roadway Express - City <br />Administrator. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Johnston - to accept the agenda as amended. (Motion passed 4-0.) <br />2. MINUTES: July 18, 1995 <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Johnston - to approve the July 18, 1995 minutes as amended. (Motion passed <br />4-0) <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P Johnston/Hunt - to approve the August 1, 1995 Claims #3938 through #3968 as <br />presented. (Motion passed 4-0.) <br />4. PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL/INQUIRIES: <br />A-1. Public Inquiries: Mary Siedow, 2796 Inwood Ave., informed the Council that due to recent <br />heavy rains the Lake Elmo Hts. 3rd Addition construction of 26th St. has caused washout damage <br />through his yard, and he is concerned that the storm pond near his house, (north of 27th St.) <br />cannot hold all the storm water. Mr. Siedow presented pictures. City Engineer Bohrer reported <br />he met with the developer last week, made sure the erosion controls were put, more strongly, <br />back in place, and the wash basins for 26th St. should be in this week which will correct the <br />problem. Mr. Bohrer explained to Mr. Siedow that he will take the developer out to Mr. Siedow's <br />property tomorrow, and believes the developer will restore Mr. Siedow's property. Mr. Siedow <br />expressed his satisfaction and thanks. <br />A-2. Mayor John explained that the Tri-Lakes Association's 40th Anniversary Celebration was <br />held July 22-23, and that there was a concern that the water ski show would have undesirable <br />impact on Lake Jane. Mayor John expressed that in his opinion the water ski show had no more <br />impact than someone having a party with their own jet ski's, ect., and commended the Association <br />for impacting only a small portion of the lake. <br />
