LAKE ELMO CITY COUCNIL MINUTES DECEMBER 5, 1995 7 <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Johnston - to grant the following 1996 Liquor and Beer Licenses: a Club On -Sale Liquor <br />( Licenses to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5725, On -Sale and On -Sale Sunday intoxicating Liquor <br />License to 3M Club of St. Paul (Operators of Tartan Park), On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor, Off -Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor, and On -Sale Sunday intoxicating Liquor License to the Twin Point Tavern and Lake <br />Elmo Inn; and Off -Sale Non -Intoxicating malt liquor license to the Brooks Superette. (Motion passed 4- <br />0). <br />C. Volunteer Appreciation Party <br />The VFW Hall has been reserved for the Volunteer Appreciation Party on Friday, January 26, 1996, <br />M/S/P Johnston/DeLapp - to invite all the Minnesota Design Team volunteers and hire a cater for the <br />Volunteer Appreciation Party. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />D. Washington County Communications Plan <br />The City received a letter from Sheriff Frank regarding the County's Communication Plan as it relates to <br />the development of a region wide 800 MHz Trunk Radio Network. Sheriff Frank sates t his letter that he <br />would like to put together "a committee comprised of people from all types of government agencies <br />throughout the County," similar to the type of committee formed in the 1980's when the 911 system was <br />implemented. Fran Pott was o the "911 Committee" and was interested I serving on this committee. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Johnston - to appoint Fran Pott as the City's representative to Washington County's <br />Communications Plan Committee. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />E. Park Shelter Workers <br />M/S/P Johnston/DeLapp - to hire Patrick Ellis, David Kish, and Bill Leary as Park Shelter Works. (Motion <br />passed 4-0). <br />F. Newsletter <br />Administrator Kueffner reported the staff member, suggested to work on the newsletter, was contacted <br />and is not able to work on a monthly newsletter. The Council suggested the Administrator contact the <br />Senior High School staff or a journalistic student from the High School. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/John - to adjourn the meeting at 11:05 p.m. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />
