At the February 15 meeting of the Cimarron Community Coalition Board, the <br />subject of remodeling of Cimarron homes cropped up. Concern was expressed <br />over the poor standard of workmanship employed by the contractors doing <br />the remodeling on one home. This was undertaken by the homeowner using <br />a loan from Lake Elmo Bank. I felt it was in the interest of the Bank and the <br />City, as well as for the success of the remodeling program that this <br />homeowner's concern should be addressed. I felt that the work should have <br />been conducted under the supervision of the Building Inspector. I decided to <br />bring the matter up tonight so that Cimarron residents could understand that <br />the City has a strong interest in ensuring that their remodeling ventures are <br />successful. <br />
