Lake Elmo shall also collect and pay to Oakdale, on or before the 30th day <br />of each month, a water service availability charge (WAC) for each <br />connection unit in the service area. Lake Elmo shall give to Oakdale the <br />number of new connections and the addresses of each new connection <br />along with the monthly utility payments. Maintenance: Each City shall properly maintain their systems according <br />to state law to provide the residential user with good water. Upon notification of a possible water <br />quality problem Lake Elmo shall immediately inspect their system to determine the cause of the <br />problem. At the same time Lake Elmo shall notify Oakdale of the complaint or complaints and <br />shall keep Oakdale advised of the progress of the inspection. If it is determined, that the source of <br />the water quality problem or problems is in the Oakdale system, Oakdale shall immediately <br />inspect its system to find the source and shall keep Lake Elmo advised of the progress of the <br />inspection. Both cities shall be responsible for their own costs regardless of the source of the <br />water quality problem. <br />B. Flushing: On or before April Ist of each year the Oakdale Public Works <br />Superintendent shall notify the appropriate Lake Ehno official of the dates that Oakdale will be <br />flushing its system. Lake Ehno shall schedule flushing of its system to occur within 30 days of <br />the Oakdale flushing, <br />Whenever Oakdale imposes lawn sprinkling restrictions on its water users, Lake <br />Ehno shall impose the same restrictions on its residents connected up to the water system. <br />Oakdale shall keep Lake Elmo informed of any possible lawn sprinkling restrictions as soon as <br />Oakdale is first made aware such restrictions may be necessary. <br />;t... W ••9.� <br />Oakdale shall not be liable for reasonable interruptions in service, provided <br />however that Oakdale shall not discriminate against Lake Elmo in the event of such interruption, <br />or for failure to deliver water which results from failure of supply, inability to secure necessary <br />processing materials, breakdown or damage to processing, pumping, or transmission facilities, <br />work stoppage or other conditions beyond the control of Oakdale. <br />Ell <br />
