LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 16, 1996 8 <br />12. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Council member Conlin reported that Planning Commission members have approached her about the <br />possibility of visiting Overland Park. The staff will find out the cost and who is interested in going. <br />The Staff will look into dates for Budget Workshops and a TIF workshop. <br />13. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Resignation of Kathy Weeks; direct staff to advertise for replacement <br />The City received Kathy Weeks resignation effective July 26, 1996. The staff asked for Council direction <br />to advertise for her replacement A copy of the proposed ad and recommended starting wage was <br />submitted to the Council. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Hunt - to accept Kathy Weeks resignation and send a letter recognizing her work and <br />advertise for an Administrative Secretary, as described in ad provided, with an application deadline of <br />July 30, 1996, (Motion passed 5-0). <br />B. City-wide survey (continued from July 2,1996) <br />The City Administrator and Planner have not had time to review the survey information an asked this item <br />be deferred to the next meeting <br />The Council suggested setting up a subcommittee comprised of a planning commission member, City <br />council member, and staff to work on a city-wide survey. <br />M/S/P HunUDeLapp - to direct the City Planner to contact the Planning Commission to see if there is a <br />member interested in serving on this city wide survey sub -committee with the planner and a council <br />member and report back at the next council meeting. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />C. Replace computer in Finance Department <br />A letter was received from Rob Harrel, Ontrack Data Recovery, Eden Prairie, MN with a proposal to <br />recover water billing data. Lee Hunt will talk to the staff on their computer needs. In the meantime, they <br />will have to share computers. <br />M/S/P HunUDeLapp - to proceed with Ontrack Data Recovery, 6321 Bury Drive, Eden Prairie, MN to <br />recover data, not to exceed a cost of $1200. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />D. ICR Reports <br />ICR Reports were distributed to the Council so they are aware of what the Deputies are doing and where <br />they go. <br />The Council adjourned the meeting at 11:00 p.m. <br />
