LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL 1v.NUTES MAY 20, 1997 <br />H. Infommtional: Letter on Conservation Easement for FIELDS OF ST. CROIX <br />9. CITY ATTORNEY' S REPORT: None <br />10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />M/S/P Dunn/Conlin β to postpone discussion on County Road 15 and 5 until the next council meeting. <br />(Motion passed 3-0), <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Mayor John met with Mr. Robert Ballintine, Compass Development, to discuss the conflicts and understand <br />the proposed project for the St. Croix Valley Sports Complex. <br />Council member DeLapp and Mayor John attended a joint meeting of St. Croix County and Washington <br />County at the Phipps Center and discussed preserving the rural atmosphere. <br />Council member Dunn, Mayor John, and 12 residents walked the proposed development, the Hamlet, and <br />heard their safety concerns. <br />12. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Request from League of Minnesota Cities for City Officials to serve on Variance Committee and <br />Dispute Resolution Board <br />M/S/P Dunn/Conlin βto postpone discussion on this item until there is a full council. (Motion passed 3-0). <br />B. Channel 16 Calendar for May 1997- Informational <br />C. Balance in Budget for Donations <br />Administrator Kueffner reported the Departments do not have equipment to loan to Cities Helping Cities. <br />There was $5,000 designated for donations, $1,000 was designated to the Community Volunteers, leaving <br />$4,000 in the budget.. <br />M/S/P Conlin/John β to approve a donation of $2,000 out of budget, line item for donations, to Cities <br />Helping Cities in Red River Valley and flood areas.
