Arbor Day Proclamation <br />MAYOR JOHN PROCLAIMED APRIL 24, 1998 AS ARBOR DAY IN THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />AND URGED ALL CITIZENS TO CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY AND TO SUPPORT EFFORTS TO <br />PROTECT OUR TREES AND WOODLANDS, AND URGED ALL CITIZENS TO PLANT TREES TO <br />GLADDEN THE HEART AND PROMOTE THE WELL-BEING OF THIS AND FUTURE <br />GENERATIONS. <br />E. Ramsey/Washington Cable Commission update: Cable Rep. Ginny Holder <br />Ginny Holder, Cable Representative, updated the Council on the progress of the franchise renewal, referred <br />to the Annual Audit Report, and gave background on area cable TV ownership. The Cable Commission has <br />asked the City to adopt the submitted ordinance amending the franchise term. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Johnston — to support actions of the Ramsey/Washington Cable Commission to become <br />involved in non -local investing of funds. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/Johnston — to adopt Ordinance No. 9727, An Ordinance amending Cable Franchise Ordinance, <br />Article 4, Section 4.04 Franchise Term. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA: <br />6. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. 1998 Overlays <br />Tom Prew distributed the Feasibility Report for the proposed 1998 Street Overlays. <br />M/S/P Hunt/DeLapp — to adopt Resolution No. 98-18, receiving the Feasibility Report for the Overlay of <br />Jamley Avenue and to call a public hearing on said improvement for May 5, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. (Motion <br />passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/DeLapp — to adopt Resolution No. 98-19, receiving the Feasibility Report for the Overlay of <br />Lake Jane Court and to call a public hearing on said improvement for May 5, 1998 at 7i00 p.m. (Motion <br />passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/DeLapp — to adopt Resolution No. 98-20, receiving the Feasibility Report for the Overlay of <br />10th Street Lane, and to call a public hearing on said improvement for May 5, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. (Motion <br />passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/DeLapp — to adopt Resolution No. 98-21, receiving the Feasibility Report for the Overlay of <br />33rd Street Lane and to call a public hearing on said improvement for May 5, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. (Motion <br />passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/DeLapp — to adopt Resolution No. 98-22, receiving the Feasibility Report for the Overlay of <br />Stillwater Lane and to call a public hearing on said improvement for May 5, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. (Motion <br />passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/DeLapp — to adopt Resolution No. 98-23, ordering the Preparation of a Feasibility Report on <br />the improvement of Hill Trail North.
