CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Council member Armstrong asked if there was some place the maps in the corner of the Council chambers <br />could be stored or build a storage cabinet. Mayor Hunt added that the MAC has discussed adding on to <br />City Hall at a cost of $70,000 to $140,000. <br />11. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />A. Street Lights — pay and location <br />The staff will collect comments from the Council regarding a street light policy and put together a proposal <br />for feedback from the Council, Planning Commission and Village Commission to work on this policy. The <br />current street light policy will be sent to the Planning Commission. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong - to direct the staff to put together a proposal regarding the development of a <br />policy on street lights, to include what kinds of lights would be accepted locations that will be approved, <br />and who willay for the lights. This propposal will be brought before the Council at the January 19, 1999 <br />meeting. (14tion passed 4-0) <br />K. Modifications of OP Standards <br />L. Solid Waste/Environmental Ordinance <br />Administrator Kueffner provided the Council with a draft Environmental Management Commission <br />Ordinance. She has met with Margaret Carlson and Greta Gauthier, who are interested in serving on this <br />commission, to go over the draft ordinance. Kueffner would like to go forward with this Commission <br />because the City has to deal with a plan for recycling, but the ordinance cannot be implemented because <br />they have not yet met with the waste haulers. <br />Administrator Kueffner sent the Environmental Management Commission Ordinance to the City of Grant <br />to work on a Joint Powers Agreement. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Johnston — to adopt Ordinance 9741, Section 800.01, as presented, to be effective upon <br />publication, and Sections 800.02 and 800.03 effective March 1,1999. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/Johnston — to appoint Margaret Carlson and Greta Gauthier to the Environmental Management <br />Commission and advertise the third position on the Commission. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />12. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Cancel 12-15-98 Council meeting <br />B.
