MINUTES: April 6, 1999 <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Siedow — to approve the April 6, <br />passed 5-0). <br />1999 City Council minutes, as amended. (Motion <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P Dunn/DeLapp — to approve the April 20, 1999 Claims, as presented. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL: <br />A. Board of Review and Equalization Manuals and announce May 5, 1999, 4-6 p.m. for Board of <br />Review <br />Mayor Hunt announced the Board of Review would be held on May 5, 1999, 4-6 p.m. at Lake Elmo City <br />Hall. <br />B. Invitation by District 834 to attend presentation on projected student and community growth <br />On April 22, Barbara Lukerman, demographer and Mary Louise Poquette, surveyor development, will <br />present information to the 834 Board of Education. The information deals with the projected student and <br />community growth within the 150 square -mile District 834 boundary. An invitation is extended to <br />representatives of each of the communities comprising District 834 to hear the presentation. Planner <br />Dillerud has been in contact with Mary Louise Poquette regarding proposed development in Lake Elmo. <br />Council member DeLapp will try to attend the meeting and pick up any reports distributed. <br />C. Set Workshop with Met Council representative, Mark Hugunin <br />Mark Hugunin, who is presently serving on the Grant City Council, introduce himself as Governor Jesse <br />Vennim's appointee to the Metropolitan Council representing the 12'h Council district, which consists of <br />central and northern Washington County, and North St. Paul and part of Maplewood in Ramsey County. <br />Mr. Hugunin welcomes the opportunity to meet with the Council and working with them. <br />The Council set a workshop with Mark Hugunin for Saturday, May 8", 8 a.m., at the Lake Elmo City Hall <br />1111KIPMIV►Yi[4 01KI03 <br />A. Resolution allowing construction of garage closer to the front property line than house: Eric <br />Wahlstrom <br />At its April 6" meeting, the City Council approved Eric Wahlstrom's request to construct a garage that will <br />be closer to the front property line than the house at 11415 301" Street and asked the staff to draft a <br />resolution allowing this action. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong — to adopt Resolution 99-25, allowing construction of a garage closer to the <br />front property line than the house for Eric Wahlstrom at 11415 30'h Street N. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />6. MAINTENANCE/PARK/BUILDING: NONE <br />7. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. Award Contract for Cracksealing <br />In his memo dated April 15, 1999, City Engineer, Tom Prew, reported bids were received on Wednesday, <br />April 14, 1999 for the annual crack sealing project. The following bids were received: <br />1. Northwest Asphalt Maintenance $21,960.00 <br />2. Northland Sealing Striping $23,360.00 <br />3. Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $24,801.00 <br />4.
