13. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. League of Minnesota Cities Conference (Council & Staff) <br />Clerk's Institute (Cynthia Young) <br />American Planning Association Conference (Chuck Dillerud) <br />International Institute of Municipal Clerks (Mary Kueffner) <br />The League of Minnesota Cities Conference will be held in Rochester from June 15-18. Anyone who plans <br />to attend should return the forms to the Finance Director. <br />Cynthia Young received her third grant for attendance at the Minnesota Municipal Clerks Institute. The <br />Conference is July 12-16 at the Earle Brown Institute. <br />Chuck Dillerud will be attending the Annual Planning Association's Conference in Seattle from April 24- <br />28at an estimated cost of $1700. <br />Administrator Kueffner asked approval to attend the International Institute of Municipal Clerks in Ottawa <br />the third week in May at an estimated cost of $1700. <br />Deputy Clerk, Sharon Lumby, gave an update on the Clerks Conference she attended at Cragun's this <br />March. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow — to approve the City Council and Staff s attendance at the League of Minnesota <br />Cities Conference; to approve Cynthia Young's attendance at the Minnesota Municipal Clerks Institute; to <br />approve Chuck Dillerud's attendance at the American Planning Institute; and to approve the City <br />Administrator's attendance at the IIMC in Ottawa, based on a strong and favorable recommendation of the <br />City Administrator. (Motion passed 5-0:Armstrong commented she didn't feel staff needed to attend a <br />conference every year). <br />B. Update on Baytown/Lake Elmo Steering Committee Meeting <br />Mayor Hunt gave an update on the May 19°i Consolidation Committee Meeting where it discussed taxes, <br />land use, equal representation, proposed public meeting at Oakland Jr. H.S. on May 240s and the possibility <br />of holding an Open House.
