LAI{E ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />MAY 15, 2018 <br />ITEM 20: 9369 Jane Road Variance <br />City Planner Prchal reviewed the request for a variance to allow construction of an addition to <br />the home for a side loading garage, reconfiguration of the driveway and a deck on the rear of the <br />home. Prchal also reviewed findings and conditions for approval. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Nelson, moved TO ADOPT <br />RESOLUTION 2018-052 APPROVING THE REQUEST FOR SHORELAND VARIANCES <br />FROM THE MINIMUM S TR UC TURE SETBACK FROM THE ORDINARY HIGH WATER <br />LEVEL, SIDE YARD SETBACK, FRONT YARD SETBACKAND MAXIMUM <br />IMPERVIOUS SURFACE STANDARDS, SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL 1, <br />2, 3, 4, AND 5IDENTIFIED BYSTAFF. Motion passed 4-0. <br />ITEM 21: Golf Cart Ordinance <br />City Planner Prchal presented a proposed ordinance to allow operation of golf carts on public <br />streets within the City and reviewed comments from the Public Safety Committee. <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Bloyer, moved TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 08- <br />209 ADDING NEW LANGUAGE AS IT APPLIES TO THE ALLOWANCE OF GOLF <br />CARTS ON CITY STREETS IN THE GCC ZONING DISTRICT WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />LAKE ELMO. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Lundgren, moved TO AMEND <br />ORDINANCE 08-209 TO STRIKE PARAGRAPH DI. Motion passed 4 — 0. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Lundgren, moved TO AMEND <br />ORDINANCE 08-209 TO STRIKE PARAGRAPH G3. Motion passed 3 —1.
