LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />JULY 3, 2018 <br />Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved TO ADOPT ORD. 08-212 <br />APPROVING THE PROPOSED ZONING MAP AMENDMENT TO REZONE 11580 30TH <br />STREET NORTH FROMRURAL SINGLE FAMILY TO VILLAGE URBAN LOW <br />DENSITYRESIDENTIAL AND TO ADOPT RESOL UTION 2018-066 APPROVING THE <br />WYNDHAM VILLAGE PRELIMINARYPLAT SUBJECT TO RECOMMENDED <br />FINDINGS AND CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL. Motion failed 2 —1-1. (Bloyer — nay; <br />Lundgren — present/not voting) <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Nelson, moved TO POSTPONE THE <br />CURRENT ITEM TO THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETING. Motion passed 4— 0. <br />ITEM 13: Fire Rescue Engine & Equipment Purchase <br />City Administrator Handt provided a brief overview of the request for purchase of a new fire <br />rescue engine and equipment. <br />Lisa McGinn, 8756 Upper 7�h Place, stated that she is a member of the Public Safety Committee <br />and reported that the committee worked to keep costs under control wherever possible. <br />Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Lundgren, moved TO APPROVE <br />PURHCASE OF RESCUE ENGINE AND EQUIPMENT WITH TOTAL COST NOT TO <br />EXCEED $700,000. Motion passed 4 — 0. <br />ITEM 14: Online/Credit Card Payment Charges <br />Finance Director Iverson presented options for a policy for payment of processing fees for credit <br />card payments. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Lundgren, moved TO HAVE CREDIT <br />CARD PROCESSING FEES PAID BY THE CITY. Motion passed 4 —0. <br />Mayor Pearson: Encouraged the public to consider membership in the Lake Elmo Jaycees. <br />Councilmember Nelson: No report <br />Councilmember Lundgren: Noted that the farmers market had a great opening week and thanked <br />local businesses for donating items for the weekly drawings. <br />Councilmember Bloyer: No report <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
