CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -042 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF A NEW DETACHED <br />JARAGE CLOSER TO THE ROAD • <br />HOUSE • DEMONTREVILLE TRAIL NORTH <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 154.092 Subd. I of the Lalce Elmo Municipal <br />Code, Robert and Carol Bliss, the property owners, have requested approval to place a <br />new detached garage closer to the road right-of-way than the existing house and attached <br />garage by 13 8 feet at 7910 DeMontreville Trail North, in accordance with plans received <br />by staff dated October 27, 2009. <br />WHEREAS, the location of the proposed detached garage is appropriate as it is <br />screened from the neighboring homes by vegetation, meets the setback requirements in <br />the R -1 zoning district, and is in keeping with the character of the neighborhood. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council for the City of <br />Lake Elmo hereby grants permission for construction of a 192 square -foot detached <br />garage 54 feet from the road right -of -way on the property at 7910 DeMontreville Trail <br />North. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council on the 4t" day of November, 2009. <br />Dean Johnston, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Bruce Messelt, City ministrato <br />
