MI141JTES APPnr.)7- : 10-6-92. <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />SEPTEMBER 1, 1992 <br />Mayor Johnson called the council meeting to order at 7:03 <br />p.m. in the council chambers. PRESENT: Mayor Johnson, <br />Hunt, Mottaz, Williams, City Engineer Prew, City Attorney <br />Filla and Administrator Kueffner. ABSENT: Councilman <br />Johnson <br />1. AGENDA <br />ADD: 6A. Mike Black's comments on Exceptions to Platting, <br />6C. Hidden Valley Dev., 8B. Letter from Woodbury regarding <br />CGRW. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to approve the September 1, 1992 City <br />Council agenda as amended. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />2. MINUTES: August 18, 1992 <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to approve the August 18, 1992 city <br />council minutes as amended. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Hunt - to approve the September 1, 1992 Claims <br />#855 thru #892 as presented. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br />A. Public Inquiries <br />Gloria Knoblauch, 9181 31st St. N., questioned the Fire <br />Department's proposed budget for 1993 because she heard they <br />were talking about building a new fire hall and purchasing a <br />new, expensive fire truck. The Council noted that Budget <br />figures are opened to the public and a Budget Workshop is <br />scheduled for September 8th at City Hall. <br />Wyn John, 8883 Jane Road N., stated he attended the budget <br />workshop and found it difficult to understand the discussion <br />because the public didn't have copies of the DRAFT budget. <br />Steve DeLapp, 8468.Lake Jane Trail, reported that Schafer <br />Mining has reactivated their pit and are starting work <br />around 6:00 a.m. and ending after 7:00 p.m. They have <br />dumped dirt all over the street at their entrance to Jamaca <br />Avenue. DeLapp suggested looking at their CUP and check.if <br />they are in compliance with their hours of operation. He <br />also felt Schafer Mining had an obligation to clean up the <br />street. <br />
