Halloween Party Planning <br />Bownik updated the Council on the Halloween party and reminded the public that candy and <br />monetary donations for the event are being taken at this time. <br />Set Agenda for Next Meeting <br />Administrator Butkowski stated that the next council meeting may include a Comcast Franchise <br />Renewal presentation from Cor Wilson, a hearing regarding the Rental Housing License of 1772 <br />Pleasant Street, and the Ramsey County Sheriff's Update on November 28. <br />Work Session <br />A. Opportunity for the Public to Address the City Council <br />Mayor Gaasch opened the floor to anyone in attendance that wanted to address the Council. <br />There being none, the floor was closed. <br />B. Eustis Street Discussion with City Engineer <br />City Engineer Darren Amundsen approached the Council to discuss the possibility of the City <br />taking ownership of Eustis Street and Roselawn Avenue from Ramsey County. After Council <br />discussion, it was the consensus that taking ownership of the roads could be beneficial to the <br />City if the right deal could be reached. Staff will continue to negotiate with Ramsey County on <br />this manner. <br />C. Goal Setting Session <br />Butkowski revisited the goal setting topics, specifically Environmental Stewardship. She gave a <br />list of Staff goals that included the Seminary Pond Phosphorus Reduction Project and invasive <br />species removal in the Nature Area. Secondary goals included such things as creating a plan for <br />the hill on the north side of Community Park, achieving Green Steps City Level 3 status, and <br />introducing Lauderdale businesses to Ramsey County recycling staff for grant opportunities. <br />D. Community Development Update <br />Butkowski informed the Council that the Catholic Eldercare conduit debt project was scheduled <br />to close on October 16. The City also received a grant from the Metropolitan Council for inflow <br />/ infiltration mitigation work. <br />Adjournment <br />There being no other items on the agenda, Councilor Grove moved and seconded by Councilor <br />Dains to adjourn the meeting at 9:03 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Miles Cline <br />Deputy City Clerk <br />
