LAUDERDALE CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Lauderdale City Hall <br />1891 Walnut Street <br />F,auderdale, MN 55113 <br />Page 3 of 4 January 14, 2014 <br />Councilor Grove moved to adopt Resolution 011414B - A Resolution Establishing License <br />and Permit Fees and Administrative Fees and Fines for 2014. Councilor Gaasch secondet <br />the motion and it was approved unanimously. <br />Butkowski informed the Council that further changes were made as recommended by the non- <br />smokers association of Minnesota including non-compliance penalties. The Mayor and Council <br />agreed that the non-compliance penalties should be set to be consistent with Falcon Heights and <br />St. Anthony. <br />2430 Larpenteur Avenue <br />Butkowski stated that Peer Engineering will need to be authorized to submit the application for <br />the No Association Letter to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Butkowski also asked for <br />authorization to pay the MPCA fee for their review of the application. <br />® Gaasch moved to authorize Peer Engineering to submit the No Association <br />Letter application to the MPCA and authorized staff to pay the MPCA review fee. <br />® Grove seconded the motion and was approved unanimouslye <br />Agenda items for the January 28 Council Meeting may include a discussion of the Larpenteur <br />Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project, the Tobacco Ordinance, and a resolution to support <br />Ramsey County's transportation bonding requests. <br />Mayor Dains explained that the Council was moving into the work session. Work sessions are a <br />continuation of the meeting but not aired on community television. Mayor Dains asked if <br />anyone wished to address the Council. No one came forward. <br />Work Session: <br />City Labs Partnership/Application <br />The City of St. Anthony would like Lauderdale and Falcon Heights to apply with them to be the <br />CityLabs partner for the upcoming school year. City Labs is a program created by some of the <br />private colleges in the metro area. Faculty integrate city identified projects into their curriculum. <br />The Council expressed interest in learning more about the types of projects that could be <br />accomplished between the three cities. <br />
