County staff will be at a future meeting to address this topic. <br />City Wide Garage Sale <br />Bownik noted the City Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, May 17. Bownik also adde <br />the <br />• ' Heights/Lauderdale Lions Club will be holding their annual bike donation event • <br />May 10 from 10: 00 a.m. to 2: 00 p.m. at Falcon Heights City Hall. <br />Discussion Items <br />Deputy Clerk Scheduling <br />Butkowski explained that during her previous maternity leave, the Deputy Clerk worked fall - <br />time to cover City all. She requested Council permission for that again and to start the <br />schedule change early in anticipation of the Deputy Clerk's paternity leave. <br />Councilor Gaasch moved to allow the Deputy Clerk to work 40 hours per week starting th(; <br />week of May 5 and ending when the City Administrator returns from maternity leave. <br />Councilor Grove seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. <br />Additional Items <br />Cable Commission Public Hearing and Presentation <br />Mayor Dains said that a public hearing regarding the proposed franchise renewal with Comcast <br />was held on Thursday, April 17. The Mayor mentioned that many community members came <br />out to support CTV. The public hearing comment period will remain open until May 1. After <br />the public hearing is closed, each member city of the Cable Commission will vote on the <br />proposed franchise agreement. <br />Park Use Application <br />The City received an application from Paul Winkelaar to hold an event at Lauderdale <br />Community Park on June 21. Winkelaar expects 300 people to attend the event. This event has <br />been held the previous two years without incident. <br />Councilor Grove moved to approve the Park Use Application for June 21. Councilor <br />Gaasch seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. <br />Agenda items for the May 13 Council Meeting may include a discussion of the Tobacco <br />Ordinance revisions, the annual MS4 report and public hearing, recognition of Peace Officers <br />Week, and a presentation by the owners of Gentleman Scholar distillery. <br />Mayor Dains called for a break in the meeting at 8:11 p.m. The Council Meeting resumed at <br />8:21 p.m. <br />
