Markets — Means any person or company that buys (or charges) for recycling of specified materials <br />and may include, but are not'limited to: end markets, inten-nediate processors, brokers and other <br />recycling material reclaimers. <br />1.12 Method of Collection —a single-st;a�,sorts�m (dgids together with fibers) collection of matedal <br />plus clothes/textiles. i <br />1.13 Multiple Unit Dwellings (MUDs) _• or a portion thereof contag more than four dwelling <br />units. <br />1.14 MUD recycling containers — City approved recycling containers used for MUDs including standard <br />carts or dumpsters for temporary storage and accumulation of designated recyclables from residents <br />in MU Ds pdor to collection. Such recycling containers must be separate, explicitly labeled with text <br />and graphics as to recyclables allowed, and colored differently from, other containers for mixed solid <br />waste or trash. Recycling containers must be maintained, in proper operating condition and be <br />reasonably clean and sanitary. <br />1.15 Organics -Organic materials derived from plant and animal matter including non -recyclable paper <br />that is collected for composting. <br />1.16 Pizza Boxes —Cardboard takeout/delivery pizza boxes not heavily caked with cheese or grease <br />with all contents removed. <br />1.17 Process Residuals— Means the normal amount of matedal that cannot be economically recycled <br />due to material charactedstics such as size, shape, color, cross-matedal contamination, etc. and I <br />must be disposed as mixed municipal solid waste. Process residuals do not include clean, separateell: <br />products that are non-nally processed for shipments to markets as commodities but are low -value <br />because of market demand conditions. I <br />.1. Rigids — Steel and aluminum food and beverage containers, foil and trays, plastic <br />bottles and containers, glass food and beverage containers, milk cartons, and <br />juice boxes. <br />2. Fibers — Newspapers, magazines, mixed mail, phone books, office paper, <br />corrugated cardboard (flattened and no more than 3 x 3 feet), -catalogs, pizza <br />boxes, and boxboard (dry food, pop, and beer boxes). <br />3. Clothes/Textiles including but not limited to: Linens including tablecloths, sheets, <br />towels, blankets, curtains, rags, and clothes including: belts, coats, hats, gloves, <br />shoes and boots that are dry, clean and free of mold, mildew and excessive <br />stains. <br />Matedals may be added to this list as part of Contractors proposal or by mutual written agreement <br />between the City and the Contractor. <br />1.19 Recycling Collection —The collection of all recyclables from recycling carts or recycling dumpsters <br />as approved by the City. <br />PAGE 2 OF 13 <br />
