Grade Elevation: The grade elevation of any parking area shall not exceed five percent <br />(5%). (1988 Code ~40.07). <br /> <br />Subd. 7. Surfacing: All areas, as allowed in Subdivision 1104.01(4) of this Title, to be utilized <br />for parking space and driveways shall be surfaced with a permanent, improved surface <br />material as defined in Section 1102.02 of this Chapter, suitable to control dust, drainage <br />and erosion, meeting the requirements of Section 902.05J of this Code except as follows: <br />A gravel surface material meeting the specifications of Section 902.05~, Subd. 5 of this <br />Code may be used for parking areas in an R-l or R-2 District not to exceed three hundred <br />(300) square feet or, if to be used as a parking surface for an RV, the minimum area that <br />would encompasses the wheel-base area of one (1) recreational vehicle. Plans for <br />surfacing and drainage of driveways and stalls for five (5) or more vehicles shall be <br />submitted to the Director of Community Development for review, and the final drainage <br />plan must receive the Director of Public Works/City Engineer's written approval. Striping: Except for single-family, two-family and townhouses, all parking stalls shall <br />be marked with yellow painted lines not less than four inches (4") wide. <br /> <br />Subd. 9. Lighting: Any lighting used to illuminate an off-street parking area shall be so arranged <br />so to reflect the light away from adjoining property, abutting residential uses and public <br />rights of way and be in compliance with Section 1103.09 of this Title. <br /> <br />Subd. 10. Signs: No sign shall be so located as to restrict the sight lines and orderly operation <br />and traffic movement within any parking lot. All signing must conform to the Mounds <br />View Sign Code2. <br /> <br />Subd. 11. Curbing and Landscaping: Except for single-family and two-family develovments. <br />and townhouses (ill developments of six (G) units 01 less), all open off-street parking shall <br />have a perimeter curb barrier around the entire parking lot. The svecifications and <br />location of this curb barrier shall comply with Section 902.04 and with the setback <br />requirements for parking areas stated in Section 1104.01, subdivision 4. Grass, plantings <br />or surfacing materials shall be provided in all areas bordering the parking area.
