Resolution 5919, Setting the 2003 City Council Meeting Schedule
Mayor Linke indicated he had asked that the times for all meetings be set at 7:00 p.m. to avoid
confusion with residents.
Council Member Marty said he thought it was an excellent idea since there have been instances
in the past where residents come to work sessions assuming they will be able to speak but find
that they are too late because they thought the meeting began at 7:00 p.m.
Council Member Stigney indicated that consistent meeting times is a good idea but noted the
reason for the 6:00 p.m. start time was because the meetings became very lengthy and would go
quite late. He then said he would like the option of moving the work sessions back to 6:00 p.m.
if the meetings become long and begin going late.
MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn.
