Mounds View City Council Apri19, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br />• Community Development Director Ericson stated that would require a major subdivision to draw <br />the lot line to the north by five feet and there would be a question of who would own that five- <br />foot wide strip of land. He then said that there is an easement that would be granted as a part of <br />this approval. He further said that the Fedors could be made a party to the subdivision but The <br />Station would need to sell a portion of the property to make it work. <br />Mayor Marty indicated that the 60-day deadline is April 15 so there needs to be action taken. <br />Director Ericson indicated that Staff would request an extension, if necessary. <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he talked to Planner Heller about Item 4 as there are currently 17 <br />parking spaces shown but it is all paved and where the one wing of the building is being removed <br />that will be paved over so he sees no issue with parking. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7036, <br />Approving Minor Subdivision and Conditional Use Permit for the Property Located at 2280 <br />County Road I, "The Station" and Include Park Dedication Fee of 10%. <br />Council Member Stigney commented that he is opposed to expansion of the use at this location. <br />Director Ericson asked for clarification as to the level of park dedication to be applied to this <br />• subdivision. The Council indicated a 10% dedication would be appropriate. <br />Ayes - 3 Nays - 1(Stigney) Abstain - 1(Hull) Motion carried. <br />E. Resolution 7061, Approving an Abatement of Nuisance Code Violations <br />Associated with the Property Located at 5440 Jackson Drive <br />Housing Inspector Anderson appeared before Council and explained the Nuisance Code <br />violations at 5440 Jackson Drive, property owned by Michael Courtney. <br />Mr. Courtney indicated that everyone has been courteous to him throughout the process and fair. <br />He then said that he is trying to get things in his life situated and now he is unemployed and there <br />have been deaths in the family so there are a lot of items that he does not want to see be thrown <br />away. He further said that he got tabs for several of the vehicles and the Uhaul has everything <br />that he owns for his job that he no longer has and he has made arrangements to get rid of two <br />vehicles in the back yard but the pop machine is operational and he does not see a reason to get <br />rid of it. <br />Mr. Courtney said that he needs to fix things and would like time to do it. <br />Council Member Mueller asked how long Mr. Courtney has been in the City. <br />i Mr. Courtney indicated he has been here since 1994. <br />
