Council Member Mueller said that the May/June edition of Mounds View Matters is out with a lot of good information. The Festival in the Park committee has been meeting every other week to work on the festival for Sunday, August 19, 2007. There will be a design a T-shirt contest and the information is on the website. Council Member Mueller said that she had the privilege of attending a Minnesota League of Cities seminar last week and she attended 10 sessions that could have been all day, but were very informational sessions of about 45 minutes and she learned a lot that she hopes to apply in her position. Acting Mayor Stigney reported that the County Commissioners gave themselves a 25.1 % raise with no public discussion and no public input from $63,948 up to $80,000 and Tony Bennett will get $82,500. He then said that he talked to Commissioner Parker at the Town Hall meeting and made his comments known to her. He further said that both Commissioners Parker and Bennett voted for this as did every commissioner except for Reinhardt and he is very disappointed in the Commissioners. B. Reports of Staff Community Development Director Ericson said he just came back from the National Planning • Conference and attended a number of very informative sessions discussing Code Enforcement and Sign Code Regulations and other issues with home-based businesses. He then said that he hopes to bring some ordinance amendments or programs and policies based on information he received at the Conference. City Administrator Ulrich noted that the Ramsey County League of Local Governments meets this Thursday at Maplewood City Ha11 at 7:00 p.m. C. Reports of City Attorney None. 12.
