SPECIAL ORDER OF BUISNESS <br />A. Resolution 7074 Proclaiming Apri124, 2007 as Arbor Day <br />City Administrator Ulrich read Resolution 7074. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve Resolution 7074, Proclaiming April 24, 2007 <br />as Arbor Day. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 7059, a Resolution Approving an <br />Interim Use Permit (IUP) for Appiication for a Billboard on Outlot A, Sysco • <br />Second Addition <br />Community Development Director Ericson noted that this is a public hearing to consider an <br />interim use permit for a billboard between Sysco Foods and Medtronic. The City Adopted <br />ordinance 769 and entered into an agreement with clear channel on the billboards and the terms <br />of the acquisition and relocation requires the relocation of four billboards. One site would be the <br />City's outlot between Sysco and Medtronic. Consistent with that, a lease agreement was <br />executed with Clear Channel to allow that to move forward. The billboards would have a 30 <br />year life span and then would need to be removed. <br />Director Ericson indicated that the setbacks and all other Code requirements have been satisfied. <br />The Planning Commission reviewed this matter and felt that this billboard would cause no <br />adverse effects in this location. <br />Director Ericson read a statement from the Planning Commission noting that they are opposed to <br />the location of billboards on Highway 10 but, to not approve this request, couid create a worse <br />situation. <br />Director Ericson read the conditions of approval listed in the Resolution and noted that the City <br />will receive lease revenues from this billboard. <br />Acting Mayor Stigney opened the public hearing. • <br />
