To Waive the Reading, Introduce the First Reading and <br />Approve Ordinance 792, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 1202 (Subdivision Plats and <br />Procedures) of the Mounds View Municipal Code. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />J. Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 786, an Ordinance Amending <br />Chapter 1010 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Relating to Wetlands <br />Protection (Roll Cali Vote) <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that this will provide some strengthening <br />of the wetland protection requirements to allow the City to stop work in a wetland area that is not <br />in compliance with the Code. He then asked for approval to publish a summary of the <br />Ordinance. <br />Mayor Marty read the violation penalty section including the added language. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. Resolution 7082, Authorizing the Advertisement to Fill the Economic <br />Development Coordinator Position <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that Mr. Backman has resigned from his <br />position and Staff has put together an announcement for the position and it is the Economic <br />Development Specialist rather than the Economic Development Coordinator as it has been <br />referred to. <br />Staff would like to interview June 18 through 20 and hopefully have a candidate for <br />consideration at the June 25, 2007 meeting. <br />Council Member Flaheriy commented that he agrees that there is a lot going on and this position <br />has been invaluable to the City and needs to be filled as quickly as possible. He then suggested <br />on the posting to remove the starting salary. <br />~ Director Ericson said that the range, at least, should be included to allow those interested to know <br />what the position would pay. <br />
