He then said that Staff feels that 6:00 a.m. is a little early and this amendment to • <br />the Ordinance would bring this portion of the ordinance more in line with the nuisance ordinance <br />Relating to noise. <br />Staff reviewed the proposed language changes and suggested allowing work on Sundays from <br />10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. rather than prohibiting it completely to give flexibility to residents who <br />do want to work on their home but provide some assurance that the next door neighbor would not <br />be awakened by the construction noise. <br />Cauncil Member Stigney said that a lot of roofing takes place over the weekends so he has an <br />issue with limiting timing because if they are doing a roof that needs to go until it is done. <br />Director Ericson said that the Code does not presently allow working on your house on Sundays <br />right now. <br />Council Member Flaherty said that he hates to legislate when people can work on their own <br />homes so he is okay with Monday through Sunday. <br />David Jahnke of 8428 Eastwood Road said that work is done on weekends now and neighbors do <br />not seem to ha~e an issue with it. <br />Council Member Mueller suggested sunup to sundown. <br />Council Member Flaherty would prefer the 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday throu h Sunda . • <br />g Y <br />Council agreed with the 7:OOa.m. to 10:00p.m. Sunday times. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueiler/Hull. First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 792, an Ordinance Amending <br />Chapter 1202 (Subdivision Plats and Procedures) of the Mounds View <br />Municipal Code <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that this would provide a way for the City <br />to require other conditions if they are reasonable and related to the project. Staff and the City <br />Attorney is recommending approval of introduction of this Ordinance. <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether someone could suggest that the City used aesthetics to <br />discriminate against the project. <br />u <br />
