Community Development Director Ericson suggested assists in other areas with future potential duties to include website maintenance and city newsletter duties. Council Member Flaherty expiained that the Human Resources Committee discussed the duties and agreed to leave the description ambiguous so that it is at the discretion of the City what the duties will be. Barbara Haake said that the duty of doing a candidates meeting and town hall meetings are the most important meetings that the City has so she feels it is very important to have this person responsible for it. Mayox Marty agreed to remove the language about website maintenance and newsletter duties • and then explain it to the candidate as they get into the position. Mayor Marly withdrew his motion to amend the peripheral duties and left the amendment to be available and coordinate local candidates forums. The seconder agreed. Council Member Stigney said that the reason for the peripheral duties is because there was an issue with the previous coordinator who thought they only worked days and not nights. Council Member Flaherty noted that the resolution is to advertise for hire so he is not sure if it needs an amendment to change the language of the job description. Council agreed to the language change for the position description. Mayor Marly withdrew his motion and the seconder agreed. Ayes - 3 Nays - 2(Hull/Stigney) Motion carried. H.
