Mounds View City Council June 25, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 9 <br />Assistant to the Administrator Crane said that she would like to go with Minnesota Mailing <br />Solutions because, if she wants to add a piece of equipment to the one she has, she would only <br />have to buy it rather than going out for quotes. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7079, <br />Approving the Purchase of a New Postage Machine from Minnesota Mailing Solutions as <br />Recommended by Staff. <br />Council Member Stigney said that, as a general rule, anytime you are looking at changing <br />something a call should be made to ask them to meet the quote or ask to lower the bid. <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated that Staff would attempt to do so with any future contracts. <br />Ayes - 5 <br />Nays - 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />H. Resolution 7099, Step Increases for pon Burda, Full Time Temporary <br />Building Inspector <br />City Administrator Ulrich read Resolution 7099. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Approve Resolution 7099, Step Increases for pon <br />Burda, Full Time Temporary Building Inspector. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />I. Resolution 7102, Authorizing Use of Neighborhood Dispute Services <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated that the Police Department brought this up as an aiternative <br />dispute resolution service that can assist with neighborhood disputes. <br />Council Member Stigney said that in the Resolution it states that there is a contract in an amount <br />not to exceed $500.00. He is wondering if the City will have to pay the $500.00 if the services <br />are not needed. <br />City Administrator Ulrich said that it would be an hourly situation and not a retainer. He then <br />said that the amount is for approximately one session. <br />Council Member Stigney asked who would be asked to go to this session. <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated that he would ask the owners and renters in this case. <br />Council Member Stigney said he would like them all there so that the mediation has a chance to <br />work. He then said that there have been violations and he would like to know if fines have been <br />paid. <br />
